Qualifications

Experience with basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, engines, mobile equipment, and vehicles

OR

Troubleshoot and perform repairs in the field or shop environment including but not limited to pumps, hydraulics, engines, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical.

Diagnoses standard mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable.

Excellent customer service skills - Must be able to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, with customers and employees.

Must have their own tools.

Must have a valid driver's license and prefer obtaining CDL within six months of hire date.

(This position requires you to drive Bond Equipment Vehicles)

State Inspection Certification preferred or obtain within six months of hire date.

Cummins Certification or obtained with six months of hire date - offered by Bond Equipment.

High School Diploma or Equivalent - Technical Training or School a plus

Computer skills and knowledge a plus

Welding experience preferred, but not required.

4 days / 10-hours - 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM – Weekends off with few exceptions.

 

Responsibilities

Performs:

Vehicle maintenance and repairs to include and not limited to the following.

Preventive Maintenance

Component Inspection and repairs

Diagnose standard mechanical and electrical issues utilizing diagnostic tools and computer when applicable.

Identify root cause of basic failures/conditions to perform repairs.

Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation.

Works in accordance with all Federal, Provincial and Corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., DOT, MOT, safety)

Performs other support duties as required to support operations.
